B.K. (Bonnie) Stevens was the author of Interpretation of Murder, a traditional whodunit offering insights into deaf culture, and Fighting Chance, a young adult martial arts mystery that was an Agatha and Anthony finalist. She also published over 50 short stories, most in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. Eleven of those stories (including Agatha, Macavity, and Derringer finalists) are in B.K.'s short story collection, Her Infinite Variety: Tales of Women and Crime. This year, her short story, "The Last Blue Glass," was nominated for an Agatha. Bonnie died suddenly on August 15, 2017, and will be missed by the entire mystery community.
