Bill Rapp began his professional life as an academic historian of modern Europe but soon decided that he needed a career that was a little less sedentary. So he spent the next 35 years as an analyst, diplomat, and senior executive at the Central Intelligence Agency. Bill continues to work at the CIA as a consultant and trainer, but he prefers to spend as much time as possible on his writing. He began with a three-book private detective series set outside Chicago, where he grew up. Bill's current focus, however, is on his Cold War Spy series. The latest book in the series, The Budapest Escape, takes place in 1956 Budapest during the Hungarian uprising and Soviet invasion.
Bill lives in northern Virginia with his wife and two daughters. Visit his website at www.BillRappsBooks.com.
