Bill Rapp began his professional life as an academic historican after receiving his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in Modern European History (B.A.: University of Notre Dame; M.A.: University of Toronto) and teaching at Iowa State University. Looking for something a little less sedentary, Bill spent the next 35 years as an analyst, diplomat and senior executive at the CIA. Although he continues there part-time as a consultant, Bill tries to focus on his writing, and specifically his Cold War Spy series under the Coffeetown/Epicenter label. The first book, Tears of Innocence, appeared in 2015, and TheHapsburg Variation came out out in 2017. The third, The Budapest Escape, is scheduled for release this November. He lives in northern Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
