Toni L.P. Kelner, one of our two headliners, is two authors in one. As Toni L.P. Kelner, she's the author of eleven mystery novels: eight Laura Fleming mysteries and three "Where are they now?" mysteries, and has published a number of short stories. Along with New York Times bestseller Charlaine Harris, she's co-edited a series of bestselling urban fantasy anthologies. Each features stories with an element of the supernatural, and the submissions come from a rare mix of mystery and urban fantasy writers. The most recent are Games Creatures Play and Dead But Not Forgotten. Kelner won the Agatha Award for Best Short Story for “Sleeping With The Plush,” and a Romantic Times BOOKreviews Career Achievement Award for Mystery Series in 2002. She has also been nominated multiple times for the Anthony, the Macavity, and the Derringer awards.

As Leigh Perry, she writes the popular Family Skeleton series about an adjunct English professor who solves mysteries with her best friend, Sid, an ambulatory skeleton.
The Skeleton Paints a Picture is the most recent, and the fifth, The Skeleton Makes a Friend, will be released in November.

Kelner is a member of Sisters in Crime, International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America, Short Mystery Fiction Society, and Femmes Fatales.

Although born in Pensacola, Florida, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kelner has been in Massachusetts for more than 30 years, and both daughters are native New Englanders. She and her husband live north of Boston with one of the daughters, a guinea pig named Clara, and a “ludicrous” selection of books. Visit her websites at www.tonilpkelner.com and www.leighperryauthor.com.
