Ellen Butler is a bestselling novelist writing critically acclaimed mystery suspense thrillers, award-winning historical suspense, and romance. Ellen is a hybrid author, who has won awards for both her traditionally and indie published novels including: The Romance Reviews Readers’ Choice Award, First Runner Up for the InD’tale RONE award, and a finalist multiple times for the Chanticleer Chatelaine Award. Last year she was awarded the Indie Reader Discovery Award for historical fiction at BEA BookCon in New York City.
Ellen holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Policy, and her history includes a long list of writing for dry, but illuminating, professional newsletters and windy papers on public policy. Her time living and working in the Washington, D.C. area inspired her latest Karina Cardinal Mystery series about a lobbyist who becomes a reluctant amateur sleuth.
